“Shutran’s Ancient Apothecary” is a beautifully illustrated compilation of remedies alluded to in the fascinating healing stories found within D. Gary Young’s “The One Gift”. The utilization of Essential Oils for healing has an ancient history.  Sanskrit scrolls and Egyptian Hieroglyphics record their usage from man’s earliest beginnings.  Ancient archives of written records and centuries of legends from around the world record and confirm their healing properties and capabilities.  In the spring of 2009, Gary Young traveled with a research and film crew along the Frankincense trail and recreated the caravan event with uncanny accuracy in his novel “The One Gift”.  “Shutran’s Ancient Apothecary” serves as a usage guide for the novel, providing additional historical context and chronicling Shutran’s Remedies.
